Which Weight Loss Medication Delivers More—CagriSema or Tirzepatide?

What if an injectable helped over half of users lose 20% of their body weight, with nearly a third dropping over 25%?

That’s CagriSema—a combo of semaglutide and cagrilintide that tackles appetite from two angles. Semaglutide slows gastric emptying and reduces cravings, while cagrilintide mimics the body’s natural fullness signals.

I’m sharing results from the REDFINE-1 trial, a 68-week Phase 3 study with over 3,400 participants across 22 countries, comparing CagriSema to semaglutide alone, cagrilintide alone, and placebo—alongside lifestyle counseling. CagriSema users lost an average of over 20% body weight, with more than half achieving 20% or greater weight loss—results often seen with surgery, but without the risks.

Besides weight loss, CagriSema improved blood pressure and normalized blood sugar in most with prediabetes, showing important health benefits. Side effects like nausea were common but serious issues were rare. Compared to tirzepatide, CagriSema offers strong appetite suppression with similar weight loss, adding another powerful option for obesity treatment.

If you’ve hit a plateau on other meds or struggle with cravings, CagriSema could be a promising future choice.
