Are you considering starting weight loss medication? Or maybe you’re looking to switch things up? Are you curious about medications like Wegovy (Ozempic), Zepbound (Mounjaro), Saxenda (Victoza), Contrave (Naltrexone/Bupropion) and Xenical (Orlistat)? In this video, we’ll take a look  into the world of weight loss medications, what to expect, and how they can aid in your weight loss journey.

Like anything else, we need to understand the basics. Weight loss is about creating a calorie deficit—burning more calories than you consume. All diets aim to achieve this, and medications are just tools to make it easier. They are not a quick fix!

I’m going through all the various GLP-1 options available globally, including GLP-1 based meds like Wegovy (Ozempic), Zepbound, and Saxenda, as well as Contrave and Xenical. Each works differently to support weight management efforts. I’ll also compare the average weight loss percentages associated with each medication. For example, Zepbound boasts an average loss of 21% from baseline weight, while others like Contrave offer around 8-10%.

I’ll help you understand the mechanisms behind GLP-1 based medications, like Contrave’s combination approach, and Xenical’s fat-blocking properties. I’ll discuss their effects on appetite, satiety, and food-seeking behaviors. And no medication is without side effects. I’ll cover common as well as rare side effects associated with each medication, helping you make an informed decision.

There’s no one-size-fits-all solution. Please do not ignore the importance of consulting your healthcare provider to find the best option for your unique needs and health conditions.

Whether you’re considering medication or exploring other weight loss strategies, remember, your journey to better health is about progress, not perfection. Every small step counts, so stay committed and focused on your goals.

Do GLP-1 Medications Increase Thyroid Cancer Risk?

A new study has raised concerns about GLP-1s like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro—but is the fear justified? I break down the real findings, the role of early detection bias, and what it actually means for GLP-1 users. Get the facts, not the fear.

Wegovy, Zepbound & Heart Failure

Wegovy and Zepbound are showing promise in treating heart failure, especially in individuals with obesity. Recent studies suggest that these medications could improve heart function, reduce inflammation, and help with weight management.

Switching from Wegovy to Zepbound: Can You Stack Weight Loss?

Switching from Wegovy to Zepbound doesn’t guarantee more weight loss. Wegovy targets GLP-1, while Zepbound works on both GLP-1 and GIP, which may offer additional benefits. But weight loss isn’t stackable—most people won’t lose more just by switching. I explain what to expect and who might benefit from the switch.
